Privacy notice
Last updated 8 August 2026
This is a plain-English summary of what happens to your information. Shepshed Web Design is the data controller. If you want anything explained or removed, email hello@shepshedwebdesign.co.uk.
What I collect
Only what you type into the contact form:
- Your name and, if you give it, your business name
- Your email address and, optionally, your phone number
- The area you work in and what you are enquiring about
- Your message
Why
To reply to your enquiry and, if we end up working together, to run the project. That is it. I do not add you to a mailing list, I do not sell or share your details, and I do not send marketing you did not ask for.
The lawful basis is legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry you initiated, and performance of a contract if you become a client.
Who else sees it
- Netlify hosts this website and processes contact form submissions on my behalf. Their servers may be outside the UK under standard safeguards.
- My email provider, because your enquiry arrives as an email.
Nobody else.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no cookies and runs no third-party tracking. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to. If I ever add privacy-friendly analytics, this page changes first.
How long I keep it
Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted after 12 months. Client records are kept for six years after the last invoice, because HMRC requires it.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what I hold, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email me and I will action it within a month. If you are unhappy with how I have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
